Performances 2003-2006
Here you can read about the performances I produced from 2003-2006 with Gudhjem Network Scene, which I started in 2003 and worked with for 4 years. With this I created 4 out door summer performances about local themes on Bornholm in close collaboration with various invited Nordic stage artists. The performances were made in a few weeks without screenplay and they were specifically created for the site. In 2006, I received Kultur Bornholm's award for "innovative acting arts" for my work with Gudhjem Network Scene.2003: WHITE CABARET by Gudhjem Network Scene, Holkadalen, Bornholm.

By Gudhjem Netværksscene, Holkadalen, Bornholm

Until the 1960´s "Holkadalen" in Gudhjem was used for dance evenings in the summer time. The farmer's washed their hair, and the fishermen crawled into their best suits to invite the young ladies for a dance.
The theme is eternal: Man meets a woman, and the dance floor becomes a scene for the countless meetings and entanglements, perhaps even fights.
Starring: Dancer Kristian Gottliebsen (DK), physical performer Glenn Ziqver Xavier (DK), circus artist Mille Lundt (DK), performer Helene Høm (DK), singer and actress Gunhild Hovden Kvangarsness (NO). Scenography: Sissel Romme Christensen. Supported by: Sparekassen Bornholms Fond, Bornholm Regional Municipality / Music and Theater Council. Idea & production: Gudhjem Network scene by Helene Høm.
2005: THE LADIES FROM THE SEA by Gudhjem Netværksscene, Prinsessehaven, Bornholm

About the women, who used to work in the smokehouses, where the smoked herring was made - a famous local specialty for Gudhjem.
In 2005 the herring in the Baltic Sea was gone. Since then herring is imported from Esbjerg in Jutland, but the idea of "The smoked bornholmer" continues to live for the tourists of Gudhjem.
As long as it lasts, the people on Bornholm are searching for new ways to brand themselves, a creative brainstorm with apparently no limits .
2006: BLACK CABARET by Gudhjem Netværksscene, Holkadalen, Bornholm

About local ghosts - or demons -called "De Underjordiske, "the under worldy" and other bastards in 2006.
The show is dramaturgically built on the seven deadly sins . All three characters are played by women. The masks were found in Berlin.
