Performances, Zurich 2007-2010

In 2007, the Swiss-German ensemble Plasma invited me to one of their performances. I ended up living and working for three years in Zurich as a freelance actor.

"ID" is a biometric theater installation about identity in an growing surveillance community, with all the opportunities and intricacies that can arise in a world of iris and fingerprint scans, face recognitions and video or sound recordings. Plasma Theater sees itself as a laboratory for theatre expressions. They therefore blend modern technology, acting, live music (both harmonica and mac) language, scenography, soundscapes, physical expression, video and digital interferences with the actors' ensemble work on stage. Idea & Production: Plasma Theater. Screenplay, instruction and scenography: Lukas Bangerter. Music: Martin Wigger, Jan Ratschko. Starring: Wowo Habdank, Lillian Fritsch, Helene Høm, Jesko Stubbe Supported by PRO HELVETIA

2008: Actress in PYRENÄEN  by David Greig, Theater Winkelwiese, Zürich

Swiss premiere on Scottish David Greig's "Pyrenees", directed by Stephan Roppel. A mountain hotel in the Pyrenees. A man is found unconscious in the snow and can't remember anything. Neither his name, nor where he comes from. Anna, a young British consulate, comes to interview him. They look for clues to find his identity and come closer. Until Vivienne, who is also the only guest at the hotel, intervenes and claims to know the man. His name was Keith and he was married to her until he disappeared years ago. But the man cannot and will not think that he should be the man Vivienne says. Review Bühne TV: ... Sibilla Semadeni shines as a shy ambassador, and Ingo Ospelt convinces as the unnamed man, Helene Hom, born in Denmark, is able not only to touch her husband, but also the audience who frenetically celebrated her acting performance . With his interpretation of a cranky earner, Samuel Streiff of Zurich creates a counterpoint. Starring: Ingo Ospelt (CH), Sibilla Semadeni (CH), Helene Høm (DK), Samuel Streiff (CH). Instruction: Stehan Roppel.Production: Theater an der Winkelwiese, Zurich. video:

2007: Actress in  WALK DON´T WALK by Plasma, Theaterhaus Gessnerallee, Zürich

"... Now there are computers and desks here, where maybe a herd circled around once or twice a year. Now phones are answered and transactions are closed, but before... there was nothing here." The starting point for WALK DONT WALK is the city as a system. The rapid urbanization of humanity serves as one of the 21st century's biggest megatrends. According to a United Nations report, the majority of the human population will live in cities for the first time in history in 2007. PLASMA casts a poetic look at the phenomenon and mentally takes the development to the extreme: the boundaries of mega cities have begun to overlap. The world has become one city, a Global City. Starring: Jesko Stubbe (CH), Andreas Spaniol (DE), Jorgos Margaritas (GR), Hagar Admoni Schipper (IL), Helene Høm (DK), Wowo Habdank (DE), Janet Hoefler (CH), Norbert Klassen (CH / DE) Instruction, script and scenography: Lukas Bangerter. Musicians: Jan Ratschko (DE), Martin Wigger (CH) Costumes Petra Kenneth (DE / CH) Production: Plasma Theater. Supported by Prohevetia
